Therapeutic laser is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions, and post-operative pain. This is an especially soothing and noninvasive therapy, and it is even appropriate for senior pets and those with serious injuries.
How Therapeutic Laser Works
Safe and FDA approved, the deep penetrating laser reduces inflammation and initiates the healing process. Laser therapy fuels the release of endorphins and causes the injured cells to heal at a faster rate, using the body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity.
Treatments to deeper tissues are administered in brief, five- to ten-minute sessions. Typically, even chronic patients exhibit improvement after only a few treatment sessions. Despite these short treatment times, laser therapy initiates a healing process that continues to actively reduce inflammation for up to 24 hours after treatment.
