Pet Care With Advanced Veterinary Diagnostic Technology & On-Site Laboratory

Photo

Advances in veterinary medical technology allow us to treat your pets with the same high standards used in human medicine. In areas from veterinary surgery to pet eye care, Crescenta Valley Veterinary Hospital is able to offer the most current technology with skill and experience.

We now offer many of these advanced tests and procedures critical to veterinary diagnostic accuracy.

Pet Eye Care

Tonometry is an advanced electronic technology that enables us to quickly measure accurate intraocular pressure in your pet’s eyes. It is used to diagnose glaucoma and other concerns in pet eye care. Additionally, we offer Quantitative Tear Tests and Fluorescein Stain for corneal ulcers to complete the ophthalmic exam.

Pet Surgery

Our surgical monitoring equipment measures your pet’s heart rate and vital signs to determine patient response to treatment during surgical procedures.

  • With our blood pressure monitors, we can detect hypotension, find and assess hypertension, and assess anesthetic depth in surgery for a higher level of patient care.
  • The pulse oximeter is a sensor clip placed on the tongue that gives the surgeon an audible heartbeat and measures oxygen saturation of the blood.
  • The EKG machine gives us a noninvasive electrical picture of the heart.

This equipment increases safety during surgery, allowing us to identify developing issues and address them before they become major concerns.

Diagnosing Pet Diseases & Injuries

The most current diagnostic technology in internal medicine includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and electrocardiogram. This modern imaging package allows us to view the insides of a patient from a variety of angles, even with a camera inside the body.

In-House Veterinary Laboratory

A diagnostic lab is essential to every veterinary practice, for speedy and accurate test results. Our veterinary laboratory is well appointed with the most current equipment, in many cases offering immediate results for the patient during the exam.

Our hospital’s diagnostic program is designed to support us in every area of pet care: pet wellness and dental exams, surgical procedures, and internal medicine diagnostics and treatment.
