Our pets often have injuries or illnesses that are difficult to detect, because they are invisible to the eye or hidden inside. To compound the problem, domestic animals often hide their pain, perhaps becoming listless or even aggressive without other outward signs.
Correct diagnosis involves proper use of equipment and expert interpretation of diagnostic results. The most widely used diagnostic technology is radiology, which produces images commonly called X-rays.
Veterinary Digital X-Rays
For diagnosing illness or injury in your pet, X-rays are widely used for their speed and relatively low cost. Today, advanced X-ray technology exposes the patient to very small doses of radiation, virtually harmless to your pet.
We offer our clients the latest in X-ray technology: digital X-rays. These X-rays no longer produce films that hang on a light frame and are difficult to read. This type of imaging digitizes the information for a very detailed X-ray on a computer screen.
Our sophisticated digital radiology equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the immediate diagnosis of issues such as broken bones, finding and assessing tumors, heart or lung problems, bladder or kidney stones, ingested foreign objects, joint problems, arthritis, and other conditions.
Convenient Record Sharing
This technology offers other advantages, such as immediate consultation with specialists via the Internet. Also, computerized records like these can be stored indefinitely without the previous concerns regarding film damage or deterioration.
